Quarantine Pay for TVOT members; Considering Retiring? Public Speaking Workshop; Health Conference for Men;

There are Quarantine Provisions for TVOT Members

Daily OTs

- if you are directed by the Health Unit to quarantine/self-isolate because of exposure at school, you will be paid during quarantine, based on your average work over the previous 4 weeks 

LTOs

- if you are directed by the Health Unit to quarantine/self-isolate because of exposure at school, code your absence as QUARANTINE and you will be paid with no loss of sick days

- if you fail the self-attestation, code your absence as COVID Personal Sick Absence and you will be paid with deduction of your available sick days 

- if your child has been directed to quarantine/self-isolate, LTOs may now code their absence as QUARANTINE and you will be paid during this period with no loss of sick days

Thinking About Retiring from Teaching?

Did you know that Occasional Teachers can retire and remain on the OT Roster?

If you are considering retiring within the next 5 years, you may want to participate in one of these upcoming virtual presentations put on by the Ontario Teachers' Federation/OTF, overseers of your Teachers' Pension. Sessions are 1.5 hours in length and each presentations will be the same so select the date that best fits your schedule:
