2 Extra Days of Work/Pay is Yours!
As a TVOT daily Occasional Teacher you are eligible for 4  half-days of paid PD, time which for all purposes count as time worked. (LTOs of .5 or less FTE are also eligible.)
Please remember that one half-day must be reserved to complete the 9 mandatory online modules now posted in the Employee Portal, in the Employee Training section and identified as 2021-2022 OTE Required Training. 
This leaves 3 half-days TVOT OTs can use at their convenience to complete the online PD modules listed in the Employee Portal under Conference/Session Registration or to participate in online synchronous PD sessions being held on the June 3rd PA Day which include:
  • AM or PM - Interactive Coding K-8
  • AM or PM - Help, There is No Math Day Plan
  • AM - Literacy Skills for the OSSLT (G. 7 & 8 Teachers)
  • AM- No Day Plans? No Problem: tech tools that require no prep
  • AM - Teaching Literacy in a Pinch: Primary Classroom
  • PM - Teaching Literacy in a Pinch: Junior/Intermediate Classroom
  • AM - Read Alouds in Kindergarten
  • PM - Self-Regulation Across the Four Frames
  • AM - French Strategies and Resources for the FSL
  • AM - Exploring TVDSB's Indigenous Education Resources
There are also many online sessions listed in this same area under the heading: June 30, 2022. These options can be completed anytime at your convenience, with payment triggered after receipt of your reflection form.

LTOs Not Evaluated; TVOT Spring Banquet; Your $60 Resource Rebate;

Though we will call the meeting to order at 4:30 PM,  we recognized the size of this Board and so dinner will not be served until 5 PM. Dinner is provided at no cost to our members however, you must register in advance for the meal.  Want to know more about the menu? Check last week's blog.

LTOs No Longer Evaluated
With the revocation of Regulation 274, there is no longer a requirement for LTOs to be evaluated. 
As well, the Ministry has always exempted LTOs in the NTIP program from being evaluated. That stipulation is reiterated in our Collective Agreement - Article L5.05 (c).

Whether you are a TVOT daily OT or a LTO, you must complete the 9 modules now posted in the Employee Portal under Staff Development & Training > Employee Training. 

Be certain to hit "Submit" for each module. Completion is due by June 30, 2022.
