Many of you in LTOs are experiencing the Board’s annual fall reorganization which occurs across the province each fall. “Reorg.” is an attempt to balance or reconcile staffing and classrooms with actual student headcounts, mandated class-size, etc.

How does this affect OTs in LTOs? As the chain reaction of reorg. occurs, your current LTO may be posted as a contract position and your LTO may end. If there are a surplus of classrooms after permanent teachers have been placed, new LTOs may surface. We understand this is can be a very stressful period for Occasional Teachers in LTOs! We are here if you need to talk.

ETFO needs your update personal information as we enter collective bargaining. Please use the QR Codes below if you do not receive Central bargaining updates from ETFO (Provincial).
