It's Official!
Last evening, the TVDSB Trustees ratified the TVOT Collective Agreement that our membership ratified on May 7/24 at the BMO Centre. The Local will highlight some of those terms in the coming weeks, however we can confirm that there will be a process for daily and LTO members to claim compensation for lost prep time so we urge members to continue to keep track of the dates and minutes lost.

The deadline for TVOT members to submit applications for their $75
Resource Rebate is May 31st. Books or professional resources purchased within
the last 60 days which are related to your elementary professional needs, are
eligible.
To access the application form, log into the TVOT Local website www.etfotvot.com as you must first set up an
account with the Local.

- Occasional Teachers take their instruction from the Administrator and not from other Teachers. That means you follow the timetable of the Teacher you are replacing. And just as permanent Teachers do not allow Administrators to direct you they use their prep periods, OTs will decide how to use their prep periods. (Remember to track dates and minutes lost when an Administrator directs you to cover a class etc. on your prep period as OTs will now be compensated for such lost time.)
- The mandatory training modules for this school year have been posted for completion by June 28/24 by all daily Occasional Teachers and LTOs. For details on how to access these, please log into your TVDSB Outlook account and refer to the email re-sent Mondy by Jessica Grison Roeder, found in the Occasional Teacher group.
