Professional Boundaries - Part Two

RESTRAINT INTERVENTION:

- have a plan; know available options                                     - use physical force
- remain in control                                                                  - lose temper
- seek assistance                                                                    - act alone
- document/report all incidents to the Principal                        - talk to everyone about the incident
- remove your audience                                                         - over-react

- remember that intervention is the last resort

Extracurricular ACTIVITIES:

The workshop provides occasional teacher locals an opportunity to access effective classroom management strategies based on the ETFO resource - I am the Teacher:  Effective Classroom Management for the Occasional Teacher.  Teachers receive practical classroom-tested strategies as well as networking opportunities with other occasional teachers.  A resource book will be provided to participants.
